Nope, the housing is much smaller, don't waste your time & $$. If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it!

I think he is talking about the bearing section........It's a good question, will the compressor, and turbine housings from the K03bolt ontothe bearing cartridge of the K04.........?

I personally doubt it would, or would it be a good idea, as it may just be more cost effective to go ahead and replace the entire turbo, rather than just the cartridge.

Plus we get into needing to know if the wheel shafts are the same size, or if the K03 wheels will bolt onto the K04 shaft.......

Hmm, yeah, just replace the turbos. haha

K04, are BIGGER every where, the shaft is bigger, the bearings are bigger, the wheels are bigger, the housings are bigger, the inlet & outlets are bigger.

One of the plusses of K04's is they have a MUCH lower shaft speed for the same PSI but with more CFM, adding any K03 part to it will be a compromise at best.

Again, if it was that simple, a lot of people would be running it that way.

What about the porting of the ko3's?

May not yield nearly as high of an increase, but seems to me like it might be a cost effective medium?

I may be wrong but I think if you ported the k03s you would gain cfm/volume but you would lose air velocity and the turbo would still have to work as hard ifnot harder to push the same pressure.
