revo flash for s4
i was thinking of either giac or revo for my ecu upgrade. Im leaning more towards revo since its a software flash instead of actual hardware having to be installed. My question is:
is there a limit of times the ecu can be flashed before it starts to crap out? sorta like a cassette tape... if you record over to many times... the tape becomes uselss.
the closet authorized dealer actually delivers the sw to you, meaning he can come to my work and flash the car and tune it for 91 octane. and would go on a test drive with me. Ive tried searching for more feedback on the revo... but does not seem like to many s4's with revo.

The Revo software is so new that there just isn't much owner use and feedback available yet.
From what I've heard, the Revo is a great product and there isn't a wear issue that I'm aware of... yet! Since it is a digital flash, I don't know how there would be a problem with degradation over time.
BTW: GIAC is coming out with an equivalent product - it may be available already.

I just got the revo sw /sps3 installed. the tuner came to my work and we went for a test drive while he was checking the numbers on his laptop. he dialed in the timing and boost amount, and after a few runs I already felt the new found torque sucking me into my seat. my final thoughts driving home were:
smooth acceleration
gobs of torque
boost spikes upto 21psi ( i think 23psi was giving me some detonation on 91 pump gas)
I also got 20% discount on the deal (saved $200)
note: tuner gave me a cable that hooks to the other end of the sps3 unit, that will allow me to connect to laptop and use vagcom. its awesome. it also allows me to adjust timing and boost pressure.
