What else is needed to have a reliable install? Would this set and your OE RS4 IC kit + chip upgrade complete the install, or would we still need to get injectors, hoses, upgraded exhaust manifolds, etc?

 

to get to where it sounds like you're looking to get (close to full rs4 power) you'll also need at least a k04 turbo chip and injectors.. and the rest you can add on slowly when needed.

however, for those who don't know, they can be installed as is (they are complete bolt-on)... you just don't get the full rs4 potential...

but, for example, someone who has blown k03's should definitely just do this right away since the price is not all that different from stock replacement (especially including labor).. or someone who is building up their own kit, should get them while they can!

 

Could these be used as a factory replacement for blown K03's on a Tip car with stock boost levels? I know they will still flow more CFM's at the same boost levels but will it be more than the tranny can handle? Car is stock other than Green replacement filter and soon to have APR Bi-Pipe and Forge valves.

Mine are still good...just asking.

I was told by J3 Motorsport in Georgia (and they asked APR directly) that you will fry your TIP within a month if you upgrade to K04s. I would love to have them as well but to me it's not worth having to fork out money for a new tranny (only to have it repeated)
P.S. Let me know if you notice a change when you do the bi-pipe and DVs - that's my next thing.

 

just upgrading to the turbo's won't have that kind of effect..

 

first i gotta get an S4, but that will be the first mods ill do when i get one

 

hey... what do you guys do to audi a4s? I am in chicago.. so i would gladly come down to you guys if u could both upgrade performance and look. Unless u can find me a deal on an s4 (about a year 2000 thats at the most 16k).... thanks.
