Because of the core exchange and the 70mile drive(one way), I heard I could drive without exhaust from the turbos back. This is illegal but dont want to shell out $$ and drive twice. Something about disconnecting the MAF. Can someone confirm this. It was also stated, by APR, that the O2s dont need relocating, just a new file on the ECU. Guess its just a gutted DP with no need of defoulers? Any way, this is a planned tax return project.....plenty of time to sort this out.

 

you are dumber than previously thought.... dude its 70 miles one way.... if you can't afford to drive it twice then you shouldn't own an s4.... you should never drive more then maybe 10 feet with the dp's off... please just sell the s4 and buy a Honda or something... you don't deserve that car!!!

 

yeah... driving w/out DP's is a VERY bad idea.... all your hot exhaust gas will be dumping STRAIGHT into your engine bay... this will probably result in melting stuff and or catching it on fire....

Makes it so you don't get a check engine light from your O2 sensors reading wrong.

Ah! I see. Well, Im waiting for a response to used piggies for sale. So things may work out after all. Once installed I'll head up to have the re-flashing and add race file and pick up a DTS while Im there. Its all coming together....
