So, I've given up on the 2001.5 S4 B5 (Imola Yellow); the dealer will not come down in price, he is staying at 22,400.00. I found a black 2002 s4, I'm going to buy it tomorrow. How much should I be paying for this sucker? It has 50K miles. KBB says the car is 22K but this is obviously before taxes. Any insite would be greatly appreciated. I'm giddy like a school girl just thinking of owning this bmf.

 

whats up with all these high prices, do the cars really loose there value that bad when they get up around 80k miles?? because I got mine a couple months ago with 80k miles for $14,500

It's 100% stock, clean car fax, maintenanced regularly w/ recipts and carfax updates. Yes it is stick. It is at a dealer ship. The KBB is 22K, I'm thinking if I can get it for 21K out the door w/ tax I'll bite. It needs to be super clean, but I think I'm going to get this one. It's exactly what I've been looking for. I will try to get him down as best I can, but we'll see; 21k is my final offer...

 

you can find a stage 3 for that price or better!
but if u must! it sounds solid and sounds like the last person or 2 didn't beat on it if it's still stock.

Well the car was a company car bought for one of their employees, it was then purchased, then traded in at a dealership. I thought about it for a while, and came to the conclusion that people who would get an S4 6 years ago from their employer probably aren't going around ripping on it. In fact, it is quite a prestigous car, it could have been babied. Can't be 100% sure but still... I'm going out today to buy it. I will post up what happens. I'm so excited!!

 

Oh! Yeah I know I can get a stage 3, but quite honestly, I'd be afraid to buy one. You know the car has been driven hard, theres just no other reason why you would get a stage 3. I will eventually be going stage 3 w/ a lot of other choice mods, but when all is said and done, I will know how the car is being driven. I'd rather do the stage 3 on my own. More over, I'd love to start wrenching on it. One of my buddies has a heavily modded S2000, a really sooped up Evo, and he just bought a mercedes kompressor and started doing engine upgrades ; he is quite good at wrenching, and I'd love to learn how to do this **** myself. Going out tonight to check it out. Wish me luck!
