need to change coolant sensor but can't find out where it is. can someone help me out?? thanks

 

in the engine bay. on the passenger side, between the engine and the fire wall. its a little to the left of the top of the Y pipe..

no problem, it took me a good 30min to locate the sensor haha everything looks the same from the top. I bought the green top and then i found out that i already had a green top on my car, but thank god i pulled it out the old one was NASTTYYYYY . corroded and everything

 

yup... still no clue where it is?? haha. any pics at all. and yes I did STFA.

 

ok found it... unhooked the wiires but can't get the stinkin thing out? any special tools??

 

bump.. yes the clip was out. I tried pulling it out with pliers. and no good... one guys (at firestone) told me to use oil to lube it up, not sure.. any help please??

 

the U shaped clip is out?
should just be able to wiggle it out now..

try flat head... prying in the gap -
probably lots of corrosion in there..

 

could the O-ring be causing it not to come out? I used pliers and grabbed one of the sides and pulled, it's very fragile and one side broke off.. im glad i was about to hook it all back up to drive.
i guesss i can't get to it until this weekend when there is light!! lol
