S4 Help!
Hi everyone.
I bought a 2000 RED S4 last month from a used car dealer in town (paid $9000).
Unfortunately I took the dealer's word that everything checked out good and didn't have a pre-purchase inspection.
Long story short...the left turbo has failed and I was quoted $5000 (give or take) to replace both with new turbos and a little less to do rebuilt or used ones.
My question is would you just sell it as is, or replace both, or replace the left only and sell.
I don't have the money to dump into this car. It has 126 k miles. I should have known better, i guess. I am just pissed that I have onlt had it a month.
Any advise would be great!

STAGE III Baby!
i suggest putting K04 turbos in there instead of the stock ones. They are larger and much more durable. Also, after the full Stage 3 setup, you are looking at over 400 whp... so it might be worth the money to you.

I really don't want to put that kind of money into the car. I just bought it b/c I thought it was a good deal. Speed isn't a concern to me, but thank you for the advise.
Do you know what the car might be worth as is?

Sorry dude, you are stuck. Turbo's MUCH be replaced in pairs, & you got to drop the motor to do it.
Read the FAQ, then suck it up, & purchase some KO4's, inlet pipes, & hardware, the parts are $2700, plus install, then you will have big HP, & be much more reliable.
Never trust what a car dealer tells you, all they want to do is make the most money then can from you!

hold on i dont think i can wrap my head around this, you baught a performance car(a sweet ride at that) and you dont care about speed, then you want to put used parts one this performance car??? I hate to say it but........well actually i dont know what to say
I am replacing with used turbo's unless you would like to by as is Shawn. I don't have any pics right now, but I can get some soon. The consition is great. Interior looks very good, needs a windshield and floormats, fog lights, and some dings removed, nothing major.
