I'm new here and about to trade in my A4 3.0 for an 05 S4. I'm looking at the automatic. Just curious on the gas mileage. Can anyone tell me what their experiences have been? I don't really care, but my wife does.

from recent experience picked up my 04 S4 last week with a full tank from the dealer. went 136miles when the gas indicator turned on. 25 miles total commute to and from work with some errands and... ahem... "a stuck gas pedal".

thats what the odometer read when i noticed it. of course that doesn't account for the ac always on with stop and go traffic. although i wonder what octane type was used [&o]

boxerchip, it seems pretty clear that cdmorten was asking for other owners experience, not what the EPA or Audi says. No need to be a smart a$$.

 

lol there totally is a need to be a smart ***.... look at that post... asking what MPG The car gets, what a noob at life. Jesus christ every car will get different MPG depending on the driver and mods... or lack there of. Thats what we call a waste of space on a forum.

 

There's always at least one ******** per forum. It's clear that BoxerChimp is that guy. He's the only guy I see here wasting time and space on the forum. Obviously doesn't have a life otherwise and feels that wasting our time with juvenile remarks is somehow helpful to us. Feel free to share those remarks with your 15 yr. old buddies but don't waste our time with them.

I think my question was pretty legitimate and honest question. I would just like to see if you guys are getting roughly what the sticker says. I'd especially like to hear from some guys with the automatic. Just give me your best mileage you've had on a tank. I'm just curious.
