Default S4 questions

I am very new to the Audi game.. But a good friend of mine bought a 99 A4.. and i was impressed with the car... But decided that the S4 was the way for me to go... Now i am tryin to decide thats best for me...
I have looked though the site and think i figured out that the 01's are the most reliable of the B5's... Am i correct in saying that? Reliablity is a big thing for me... I owned a 3rd gen RX7... and as great of a car as it wsa.... it was always a concern with reliablity.... Untill i did a LS1 swap.. Ha. but if any one could give me some insight on the S4's.. i would appreciate it.
Thanx,
KB

I bought a used s4, B5 2000, everything was perfect EXCEPT the rear differential which had to be replaced, luckley it was under warenty. Other than that the b5 is normally a great platform, and highly recomend them. ps i think the previous owner of my s4 did some serious racing with it to beat up the drive train the way he did, so it wasnt a normal situation

i have been looking at the s4s alot lately and i have found that the biggest problem is when the turbos go. So hopefully they will do so under warranty but u should also just replce with the better and more reliable k04s.

b5 s4 is good reliable car but there were some problem with the drive side turbo, becasue it always blown around 85k other then that the car is good.. btw if u getting 99 s4 u have to watch out for the boost leak which might coming from the f-hose.
good luck with ur s4 lol
