Yeah thanks all - I guess i'll post some new pics sometime...though it pretty much looks the same...engine is sweet looking though - with all the Samco hosing and the EVO intake...looks pretty clean too...I'm definatly keeping the plastic engine cover thing off - lets see those bad Bailys!

Its been sitting in the driveway all day...but I plan to get it out for a bit of a road trip tonight...tomorow as well most likely....I hope by 250 miles the clutch is well seated....last time I had a new clutch in it (about 20K miles - right after I got the car - Audi replaced the clutch...) I remember the engagement point was right at the floor...I was not happy with it at first...but it worked its way out...right after picking up the car (2 years ago this Easter) I took the family from D.C. up to New England (with a stop over in New York)....by the time we got there the clutch was pretty much worked out...

Well got out for a little spin around town...mostly sedate...new clutch is really very smooth & easy - noticibly lighter then the stock...did spool it up once (wife was in the car for the first time noticing the gurgling and sputtering and increased roar on acceleration and pull...)...pulled out in front of some oncomming 60-65 mph traffic...no worries...got me thinking...I wonder how a Stage 3 S4 compares with the old RS4 and with the new RS4? I assume the new RS4 will easily outhandle either...but I wonder if a Stage 3 is out and out faster...

sounds good man.. My clutch was awhile obviously..but i didnt get on it too often..

I would say a solid tuned stage 3 will beat a rs4 new or old on the straight..but corners..??

yeah my thinking exactly...which is why I should add - at the very least - some Nuespeed rear sway bars or such to my wish list...

Pushed it just a bit more today...man!!!! I'm not sure I have yet to put the pedal to the floor all the way...I was thinking that it wasn't so much quicker off the line then prior...I was wrong! ...still mostly I'm easing off the line but ocasionally pusing harder in 3rd (have about 170 miles on the new clutch...and its feeling pretty good...no slipping noticible per se - but sometimes it seems to abruptly grab and release (I guess that is a good thing eh?) - but a bit jerky as I am letting off a bit and not power shifting...anyway earlier today (on way home from work) a very nice looking Black B6S4 with plates that read - 340hpS4 ! pulled around me at a light...I followed him for quite awhile until the road split out to two lanes in our direction (4 lane divided)...still I hung back just keeping a length or so directly behind him...waiting for him to move out...he did go along quickly...but not peddle to the floor...well I couldn't resist...put it all the way down as I swung around him....can you say 40+ lengths in just a few seconds! He didn't even bother to try to keep up with me...though did race by me as I was exiting on an off ramp! lol ...yeah there is no way...I can't imagine any B6/7 S4...or any M3 for that matter (short of supercharging!) being able to even begin to hang with this kind of power...I used to let cars like Mustangs, most BMWs and such move out a few car lengths before I even moved off the line - then I would blow by them like (as I have often described) they were standing still....well I have experienced quite a bit of that today...and without even trying ...just with fairly mild rowing through the first two gears....Ok perhaps pushing along with a little authority...but being vary careful to not power shift or do anything stressful! I'm almost tempted to take it out and ride around tonight...but I guess the work commute tomorow will have to do!

hahah..its awesome isnt it.. It never fails to put a smile on my face. Even in 6th gear..a cruising gear..it just pulls.. (and act pulls harder at 105 than it does at 80 ) Its fun being able to keep up and pass most people without dropping a gear.
