hey im new to this forum and to audis in general but im still a big fan now i was wondering what car i should buy could any one help me with pros and cons thank you

Go with the S4 man (asking that question in the S4 forum is likely to get you some biased answers

If you're looking for speed, the A4 just simply is capable of the numbers that the S4 has the potential to put down. The S4 is going to be an all-around higher performing car. You have to dump thousands of dollars into the A4 to approach the performance of the S.

 

Also note that the s4 is actually 12k not 10 because they are looking for 2k down. Just as a heads up if you are on a tight budget the a4 might be a better car because your going to dump a lot of cash into the s4. I think most on here will tell you it is a very expensive yet rewarding car to keep in your garage.

I wouldn't call an S4 by any means inexpensive to own, but, it's not too much worse for parts than other imports. Pretty much all imported parts are going to be expensive. Even Japanese parts aren't cheap the way domestic parts are.

Labor seems to be more of a killer IMO. Everything is so tight on this car, there isn't much room to work which means, when something needs to be fixed, you're likely going to have to remove a bunch of additional crap just to get to the part needing replacement and removing that additional crap takes lots of time which = $$

If you're willing to wrench on your own car, it's really not that bad. And Marc (10secS4) has proven that this car can be reliably modified with a limited budget.

 

the A4 isn't tricked out at all! haha there is not GT28 in the. 1.8t = slowwwww!
S4 all the way! just be sure to have $$ for maintenance !!

what color and stick or tip?

 

s4, its worth the extra dollars to maintain.
