Default S4 v M3

My friend is selling his 97 Audi a4 1.8T. He has earned enough money to buy a S4.....But his parents say he should sell the a4 and his dad will give him his M3. He is stuck, doesn't know what to do. I say S4.

well there are a lot of questions to be answered. what year s4, what year m3...also you he would be buying an S4 as apposed to be handed an M3. Someone giving you an M3 would be hard to turn down. Does your friend like to mod cars? Will he be modding this one...lots of questions to be answered

Since the word "give" has been used instead of "sell"....I would go with the M3

The M3 is a 2000
and the S4 is a 2002

He likes to mod cars a little bit, he doesn't like to go over the top. He is mainly interested in the engine and what its background was. His dad drove the M3 to work every day 60 miles to work 60 home. The car has considerable mileage. And the interior is atrocious, cigarette marks everywhere.

He lives in the arsehole of no where, nothin but hills and shitty roads.

A free M3 to thrash about in and not worry about beating it up too much - thats sounds like an ideal driving oppurtunity...then you can move on to an S4 or soething else...but a free M3...that runs! You would be seriously mistaken to turn it down.

Well the M3 was bought in 2000 i dont know what year it is

Yea my friend took the M3 and this morning it didnt start. I had to pick him up because he didnt want to show up in a bus. I think the battery is dead no response from car what so ever.
