Okay so I had a 2004 S4 and LOVED it...ended up have to do a trade in for gas mileage, but since have found a job close to home, so gas mileage isn't a big deal now....in about 2 and a half months, I'll be able to trade in the car I've got for an S4, but here's my dilemma: The 2004 was great, but I saw some 2005.5 S4's that look like the B7 style and are priced fairly close to the 2004.

If you could choose the 04 or the 05.5, which would it be?
I think they're both beautiful, mean machines, but is one any better than the other? I know the B7's got minor suspension upgrades like springs and whatnot, but besides looks, is there any difference??

 

i love them both, i think its all up to you, the b7 will have higher resale value

 

I'm not a fan of the B7 nose. I love the styling of the B6 car. The only thing I like more about the B7 is that they got rid of those dumb door spoilers along the lower edge of the doors. I wish I could remove them from my car. They are just unnecessary clutter.

 

I don't know, I kind of like those door spoilers! [8D]I know resale is higher on the B7, but so is the sticker price...it'sa tough choice!
So there's nothing performance-wise that's any better on the B7 huh? If that's the case, maybe I'll just stick with the 04...unless I can find an 05 with Bluetooth!

 

If I were to personally choose I would go B6 just for the styling and wide stance. Performance wise they are very similar, but I believe the B7 S4's have the 40:60 center diff for more of a rear biased Quattro system

 

B7 still has still got the door wings and pretty sure the RS4 has the 40:60 split not the S4

I dont like the look of the Darth Vadar front of the car - side on it makes the car look longer?, but the rear of car is sex![sm=badbadbad.gif]

Love the look of the B6, coz it looks more agressive and chunky, the 18' Avus rims suit the B6 more than B7

Then again the B7 has more staandard equip like multifuntion steering wheel etc...

Thanks scott, I was pretty sure the B7 S4/RS4 both had the new split center diff.

 

So in other words dont buy a Tip no matter wat year![:'(]
