I'm curious to see what type of engine they put in the rs5. It better not be the 4.2 though, that engine is getting overused

yeah the v10 seems like too much for the rs5, a twin turbo v8 would be great though

I drove one the other day. Lots of fun. Still under breakin period so they wouldn't let me have too much fun with it. Nice ride. Seats were a lot more comfortable than I thought they would be. Great controls. Biggest complaint is the gas mileage and gas guzzler tax. 14mpg? Almost the same as a 6,000lbs 400hp V8 Escallade, or 6.1L 425hp Charger! What's up with that?? BMW 335 is a lot higher and felt like a little more pick up due to the Turbos. That's about the only issue making me question it. Especially with gas prices going up. Not looking for a tree hugging 30mpg+ but most other 350hp's can get to 20. Not sure what to do.... Really love the look of it and specs / features. A lot cheaper than an M3 will be, and I"m guessing the S5 will be built better.

Was at my local dealership (just outside of Boston) and they had a couple on the lot. Someone was about to purchase and I got to hear as he took off for a test ride. It sounded sooo sweet and took off like a bat out of he!!.
Talking to the sales manager and he was betting that both cars would be gone in 48hrs. They got an R8 in and it wasn't in their showroom for more than 2 days before someone bought it. Too much money around here...haha.

A bargain at $57K nicely loaded. Id rather take a dump in my hat than drive a new bmwthese days. I would suggest that they offer the titanium rims and put a real sunroof shade in next years car.

I rode in the back of one yesterday during my fathers test drive (he is in the middle of the S5 335i dilema). I nearly soiled myself when he got into it. Its got a great growl and an amazing presence. Pictures do not do it justice, it is the perfect automobile. And dont forget...it has a spare tire.

"There is plenty of oil and global warming is horseshit". Atleast what i was saying when exiting this car post test-drive.

Wait until HPA or similar gets their hands on it
