S5 - V6 or V8?
Hi, just signed up today, so I guess I'm a noob!
I have a '17 A6 for my daily driver and I love it. I'm now looking for a 'toy' to 'hot rod'.
I've looked at many makes and models and the Audi seems to be the best direction to start. I think it's mainly about the Quattro!
Leaning toward the S5 because they are two door, available with a manual trans, and are readily available at a decent price. Typically looking at 2015 and prior.
I was originally only looking at the 2012 and earlier because they are V8 - bigger is better, right? Normally aspirated, which leaves room for a super charger and?
I've recently read that the V6 can be bumped to 450 HP quite easily with a SC pulley and mapping and still be reliable. Is that true?
The dilemma is which should I choose. My immediate goal is to get close to 500 HP, but still be a partial daily driver. In the future I'm sure that I will want to push it further though.
Any opinion is appreciated.
