To start this car is perfect with many upgrades.

Ok,when at idle, if I touch the throttle lightly, the engine makes a quick knock sound between 900 and 1000 RPM's. Not valve tap, Not fuel injector ticking. Barely loud enough to hear in car with windows down, and all other noises off. Just changed oil, thats when I noticed. All other fluids fine. It does this both moving and at rest. Also with clutch engaged or disengaged. I checked VAG is clear, except mis fires (common). Sorry I think I will have to trade it in, SOOOO Pissed, I just paid it off and it is no longer under warrenty. Car Idles great runs strong.

 

Didn't you have that other thread up? With that knock how much do you really think you could get for the car? It's got 239k miles I believe you said. I can't imagine getting more then probably 5-6k being as the really high miles and the knock. What would you replace it with?
