Default snub mount=amazing but found a different problem

i installed my snub mount today thats been sittin around my dining room for the past 2 months. omg why did i wait so long to do it!! its the best thing ever!! my shifts are sooo much smoother now! i was on the verge of thinkin my tranny needed a rebuild but no..just a 30 dollar part and a free afternoon.

bad news tho...okay so some may remember i just got both turbos replaced back in january. ever since i've been lettin them warm up and cool down like you're supposed to before boosting, bear in mind these are brand new not rebuilt turbos...so the past few days i've noticed a little extra whiteness in my exhaust and what do you ******* know, i pull both my lower intercooler lines off since i had the bumper off and a little trickle of oil came out each of them. what the ****!?! the turbos dont sound dentist drill at all like they used to and im still boosting 100% on stock no chip..what could it be?!

ps the snub mount made me so happy im not to terribley angry about the turbos!

did the shop just not clean out the old oil? they COULD just be burning off the old oil. I donno. just a though. Go see your mechanic and get to the bottom of it.

i will, they're closed on the weekends so its going to have to wait, i was thinking that because when i popped the passenger side one off it had yellow dye in it like that they use to find oil leaks with a black light. buttt they said they flushed out my intercoolers to clean them when they replaced the turbos and you'd think they'd drain the oil out of the lines too..

how hard was the snub mount to do?

everytime i shift it feels like the motors going to go through the front of the car. could be motor mounts as well i suppose.

it took me about an hour and two beers. the hardest part is getting the mount off the spindle but a fork tool really helps if you get one wide enough to fit around it. then just lube up the new mount on the inside and around the spindle. i just used some high heat silicone lube and it popped on pretty easy with a little effort. i had a buddy help hold the radiator up for me tho as i was working and that cost another beer. now the only problem with the reinstall was trying to get my passenger side of the bumper to fit correctly..it keeps popping out of its mount

If you stick the snub in the microwave for about 30 seconds to soften it up, that helps slide it on too.

microwave eh? never thought of that. A12 try the snub mount before you do replace your motor mounts..it could be that simple of a fix and you dont need to pull the motor
