The other day I was driving to work and missed the shift into 2nd(thanks to be awake at 4oclock) right after that happend it was really REALLY hard to shift into 1st and 2nd. Thought great here comes a good trip to the dealer...[:@]

Well today I got in the S4 and it was back to the way it was when i baught the car, I didn't do anything at all just drove it for 2 days...[&:]

Anyone have any ideas what is going on caus I have no clue at all!!!!!!

Basically thats normal. The 1-2 shift collar tends to stick, damage to the synchromeshing happens from poor shifting/missed shifts. Watch this video.

Iv had my own problems with it, but i tryed to give my transmission some love (shifter, dts, snub mount) and it feels a bit smoother now.

DING! i have had this problem for half a year now. after driving it will almost go back to normal. However NEXT time you miss 2nd..... lol say bye bye to the tranny cause thats where i am at now, and what do ya know im picking up my tranny TODAY! haha

If i ever break my transmisison (id put money on it happening) im gonna replace it with a stasis close ratio 6 speed.

Problem with that is stasis close ratio is Mucho Dinero roughly $3200 after shipping, then $1800 core charge if u wanna get rid of your old tranny.

well too late for that today when I got back in it it is almost impossible to get it into 1st or 2nd and when you shift to 3rd you almost have to pull it over to the right...so what youre telling me is that I need a new trans???? or can I have the synchros replaced???
