I did a calculation and with stock wheels/tires ,stock gear ratios and stock final drive it is possible to go 190. That is on paper of course. Is it actually possible to go that fast?

 

hmmm not sure, I have seen a video of one doing 170 somethin,i think. I know stock I have been 145 only slowed down because I was comin up on a cop that had some one pulled over

 

well I have seen a 200mph vid. but if this car can do 134 in the 1/4 mile I would say 200 should be easy...if you have enough gear and power

well all depends on what gear the car has in the back(well and in the front) because I am running like a 9.5 in my Mustang and I top out at 175 thanks to a 4.10 gear. I dont mean to be an a$$ but the speed I was goin in my Audi and where the RPMs were I really don't think that the gears will let it do 200

 

I calculated it. With stock gears it goes 190 for sure. Until the tires blow.

 

the GT car has a 8500 rev limit. I don't know how to do the calculation but I would think that should help.

but your 5.0 dose not (most likely) have a 7000+ rev limit...thus more MPH
180-200 is definitely the limit with the rev limit at 7000

 

186 for sure, that's without the limiter stopping it, there is a copy of Audi's original video out there when the B5 was first made and they were doing tests on it with a satellite to keep track of its speed. It had of couse no spare tire, tools, one seat, etc.. and was BRAND new not the average 100k milecar we all have now good luck at 170 my friend

 

Ive Hit 155mph give or take ! I think the car would probably go 165mph!

 

i hit 168 (gps) personaly but im pretty sure the stock trany and regular rev limiter max speed is 189-190
