Stage 3 S4 Joyride Video
Once the weather cools off a bit, I plan on taking the silver car to the strip again. The last time out back in 2006, it ran an 11.67@120.45 in the 1/4 mile with heavy 18" HREs, a full interior, and only 20-21psi of boost on a very conservative APR Stage 3 tune. Now with the new fueling kit the 60lb injectors, 85mm MAF, and custom tune along with a few other changes, I`m hoping for a real low 11 second pass. It would be cool to dip into the 10`s with a full interior and stock motor, but I`ll settle for an 11.2-11.3.

I posted the mods back on page one, so you may want to check that out if you missed it.
Lately I've been alternating daily driver chores between my silver S4 and my 2000 A6 2.7T 6spd.
The silver car has been extremely reliable in the two years that I've owned it. The K04s have 75K+ miles and the all original and stock bottom end has 144K+ miles. The car has been driven hard, but has taken the abuse quite well... The only major repair that has been needed in my 2 years of ownership was a recent overhaul of 3rd and 4th gears. I was able to get away with using used parts which looked a lot better than what was in there, so the repair wound up costing me very little money. My buddy is the head tech at an Audi dealership, so I was fortunate that he had a lot of good used tranny parts lying around. Keep in mind the tranny was all original with 144K+ miles on it up until 3rd and 4th became notchy.
A reliable 400whp is a breeze. You could do that on pump gas with stock intercoolers.
Any other questions, feel free to ask.

10 secs4 what exactly have you done to your car, and is it a daily driver? If so how is reliability?
Your obviously the guy I wanna talk to seeing as how I wanna do a budget s4 that is just as reliable if not more reliable than stock and has at least 400awhp.

I figured you could build your own fueling kit for a lot less than buying an over the counter setup from one of the vendors.
I'd go 60 or 72 lb injectors, steel braided lines, 255 lph forced induction pump, and maybe an aftermarket maf housing, custom intake pipe, and a big cone filter. My problem isn't sourcing those parts, it's tuning. I have no clue on that. I wish I had some money to play with because K04's are looking pretty impressive. JayBQuick's car is an 11.1 car w/ full interior and K04's.
A local friend of mine just sold his hybrid S4. He has K04/RS6 hybrids, and his best time I saw was 11.3@127mph full interior, 18" rims, street tires, mild launch. I think if he would have really launched the **** out of it, 10's would be easy. 127 mph is haulingass. I really wish I had a stick, but if I could get this auto built to handle big power, I'd just put a big converter in it (3800 rpm - 4200 rpm) and find out how to disable the brake boost cutout crap so I could brake boost it and launch it at the converters flash stall speed.... I think a lot of 6-speed cars would be seeing my tail lights. I know I should have bought a 6-speed, but I'll see what I can do with a tip.
Marc, that car pulls hard! Nice budget build.

You are right. Sourcing the parts is the easy part.
I got my injectors and spacers for about 300 from marc. MAF from Vag Motorsports for $125. AEM dryflow for $40, RS4 accordion hose for another $50, and my tune for dirt cheap. You could get away without running an aftermarket FP, but its not a terrible idea to get one. You can pick up a universal Walbro 255 for $99.
The siemens 60lbs injectors are more than ample for a PJ k04 setup. The duty cycle for those injectors is about 70%.
