Default Steering wheel?

Hey my steering wheel is not in greatest shape and I am not worried about airbags so I am looking at maybe a different steering wheel. Let me know what you all think of this one or give me some suggestions.
http://www.momousa.com/detail.php?ca...5&group=20I am thinking I would maybe paint the metal part black or turn it into a smoked looking chrome finish.

yeah i like it, but why don't you get the best of both worlds. theres a guy in the classifieds trying to sell an Audi wheel that looks the same and can hold the factory air bag, just an idea.

vnv727 thank you, that is the response I was looking for. SuperdugI will check that out, I agree the factory wheel is classy. You see if I replaced the wheel I would still need the bag because mine was blown from accident. So rather then spending big bucks on both I was just going to maybe get a different wheel that didn't need a bag. The flatter bottom of the momo would let me get into car a little easier but that really isn't much of a big deal. I could live with the wheel I have but my interior is in great shape and the idiot that owned it must have worn rings or something cause the leather is messed up and doesn't match the cleanlyness of the rest of interior.

I know replacing the air bag is not cheap but you really should do it. It is true you probably won't need it but just imagine if you got in another wreck where you do need an airbag. The price of the airbag is insignificant compared to someones safety and health.

I agree that the price of an airbag is nothing compared to safety. I am only one that will drive this car, I did not wreck this car, I bought it wrecked. I grew up Driving high horsepower muscle cars that handled like **** and had no seatbelts. This car is nothing special speed wise and I have great respect for it and anything with a motor. I am not a dumbass street racer with no respect for myself or others safety. Now that is not to say that I will never ever get into an accident and the airbag wouldn't be nice but I have driven for over 10 years without the need and it isn't a big issue for me. My passengers however are important to me and there safety is priority but myself is not the issue. I am probably just going to get a bag for my wheel and live with its looks, I just thought I would find a nice wheel that isn't too ricey and had a good feel to it. So yes I agree safety is very important and everyone should pay attention to it.

Well.... yes, airbags are important.... and i do really like most of audi's factory steering wheels.... but the momo does looks nice.... i have been a fan of momo for years... as long as the wheel matches the interior of the audi as much as possible and your happy with it, i guess that'smost important
