Default stick shift moving

Hey,does anyone know what is causing this? When I'm driving, the stick shift bumps back and forth. It seems to happen when letting off the gas and back on.

Thats normal. Maby not the amount of movement your getting. Transmission mount should be checked along with motor mounts.

What is causing it is that the shifter in bolted to the transmission, so when the drivetrain moves, the shifter moves with it. Pretty common in High performance cars.

Didn't think about that, the short shifter doesn't move like the stock shifter? Is it not moving at all or is it just very slight since the throw is shorter?

No in the S my shifter doesn't move at all. I will double check it on the way home (im at school now) and I'll let you know after I double check. I'm pretty sure it is solid though.

That's pretty cool. Short shifter must just be more stable or something, I didn't expect that. Thx for the follow-up
