From Supra, to S4
Hey guys,
I would normally post this in the new members forum, but I have been browsing and reading this forum for a year or so now, but never registered, and just wanted to say a few things.
I currently have a 1993 twin turbo 6 speed supra, and a jeep cherokee...now I'm looking to sell both and get an s4, but I am very picky, and only want the nogaro blue in a 6 speed with the black and blue alacantra (sp?) suede inserts. I've come to realize these are a pretty rare find; I came across one in the FS section but it was a tiptronic, and converting to a 6 speed is not something I feel like doing.
I may need some help from some of you once (and if) I find my s4 as far as modifications go. I've done all the modifications to my supra myself (cams, clutch, downpipe, exhaust, intake, etc etc etc) so I am in no way new to the twin turbo 6 speed game. However, I need an all season, all wheel drive car I can take to college and need to get rid of the hassle of maintaining and insuring 2 vehicles.
That being said, if anyone is looking to trade, or if anyone is looking to just sell their nogaro blue with the alacantra (sp?) inserts, shoot me a PM.
Thanks in advance, and if there is need to throw this in the new members section, mods, be my guest. I just figured this thread would see more attention here.

i was specific on my s4 too. found it on autotrader. did a search "within any distance" . it was 500 miles away but im happy now that im drivin it.
Hey,
did not receive any PM's..
The alcantera suede I guess is not really a priority, I just need a nogaro blue 6 speed. I know a guy that is great at reupholstering seats and can put plue suede inserts in for me for a great price.

You have to wonder how someone that leased an S4, put 5000K on it and then turned it back in treated the car. I don't think they would be the type to worry about "break in" periods like some on this forum when they get their new Audi. I would also wonder what the longer term effects of hard driving at the early stages are. Maybe the car burns more oil? Maybe nothing?
I guess buying a used car is always a bit of a crap shoot. You have to just close your eyes and hope - after certain precautions have been taken. It's a bit like dating. Sometimes you only want to know a bit of what she has been up too before meeting you - and you don't really want to tell all that much yourself.

Actually, there is some thinking about now that the "breakin" period is really not needed anymore...Cars are ready to go....rings are seated, etc...
Anyway....If you are getting a used car, get the certified pre-owned extended warranty...oh..and $39,500 is way too much for an 04 with 30Kmiles....I would think that you could easily get that down to $35K

I was looking on autotrader and was surprised at some of the prices. I think I am going to have to do some more work to find a used S4 for the right price.
