Default Sways to fix my rubbing problem?

Saw a dude who sounded like he knew what he was talking about. He does a smattering of suspension work for people who race.

I have been having that slight rub problem on my car for awhile under load in corners. He told me that a front sway would probably fix that and the pitching problem I am having.

Does that sound correct?

you got me ...... I dont know why that would work at all cause everyone would do it. All i kow that you can do is get your fenders rolled so they clear the tire. make sure if you do it your self you heat the paint so it will not crack when roll it.

The rubbing is caused from pitching left and right on hard corners. He said making that stiffer would fix the problem.

yeah, i get what you are saying, but the s4 front sway is already strong, it may help but i know for sure rolling it will help.

I rolled my fenders a tad but Im still having problems. I do think the sway bar would fix it. Just need to get myself an adjustable one.

Why dont you also try cutting the fenders? you can get more off and not having to worry about the paint cracking cause you dont have to heat anything up. My cousin had the same problem on his 330ci with the tires rubbing (cuase he wanted 265 instead of 235), but he got his fenders cut and they dont rub anymore.

Keep in mind that a stiffer front sway is going to increase understeer.

I have the same issue after getting new rims so I'm just going to run 235s after these tires wear out. Rolling your fenders is risky as the paint can crack, as mentioned earlier.

...raise up the car a little??

....i don't know if i'd want to cut my fenders either... and i dont think that adding a better sway bar will completely help you to fix your problem.... what suspension is on the car???

take out the fender liner and have a professional roll your fenders.
