Default TBB/bipipe

I have seen each one say they alone will eliminate most possibility for leaks. now, if I do one would I need to do the other?

are you talking about the apr bipipe? because if you are, getting that gets rid of the TBB and the two plastic tubes that run from the TBB to the intercooler hoses. the bipipe is a cast aluminum piece that is a fairly easy bolt on. and IMHO is worth getting.

for more info on the bipipe just go to apr's website.

ORIGINAL: vnv727

they are two different things......so yeah, you should get both

though i could be wrong, its happened before
HA,LOL YOU ARE WRONG!!!

The Bi-pipe takes the place of the TBB.
Any 2.7t comes with a TBB, that's why we have the problem in the first place.

The stock rubber TBB is weak, it rips at the seams, & leaks. There are upgraded aftermarket TBB & then the Samco TBB.

But if you never want to replace a TBB again, then get the ARP Bi-pipe.

It's the lower silver piece by the PS pulley

You dont have to go APR bi-pipe, the samco TBB will do just fine, they also have one made of kevlar, but its a biut more expensive than the samco. If you looking for the cheapest way do the samco.

You really dont need to spend a couple hundred on a bi pipe, when you can spend 80 bucks and geta samco TBB<-- this is pretty much the best, If your looking for the best then get an intercooler, besides i heard that the APR bi Pipe has a few flaws, like rough inside making it hard for smoth air flow, also the APR bi-pipe has a smaller diameter inside than stock(less air flow). The Kevlar TBB is expensive also, just get the samco save some money

How much can that Samco TBB handle? I am looking to be around 370chp and near if not over 400 tq when all is said and done. What else would I have to look at to operate safely with those numbers besides a new TBB?

my friend said that he got the bi pipe and it didnt fit....when he called apr to ask about it they said that ever audi has the fan set at diff places and something about variance of years depends fan placement....he eventually shaved down the bi pipe lol

2K S4that looks so clean, but is there any other advantages other than replacing all issues with the TBB? Does the aluminum repel heat better? is the diameter of the pipe bigger? I know the DV ports are enlarged so they release a bit faster, but any other advantages? Im very curious aas id like to get one.
