i was just wondering how much it would cost to replace a timing belt in a 2000 s4 with parts and labor?

 

it will vary place to place, but usually they replace the serpentine belt and water pump at the same time, and it usually runs bewtween 1000 and 1200

 

Just had mine done because it was leaking a tiny bit of oil out of the valve covers, so I guess i might as well do it all. Here you go.

Timing belt.
tension and idle rollers.
water pump and thermostat since its right there.
reseal VVT adjusters and replace both valve cover gaskets.
Replace serpantine belt.

775.00 in labor and 667.94 in parts. 1442.94.

My 2002 s4 has just over 50000 miles and my mechanic told me it was well warn and needed to be replaced. Fyi for my fellow Audi Owners with over 50000 miles.
