Grats! I wish I woulda saved myself the $$ and done the workmyself. After my last mechanic experience I'm going to start doing much more on my own.

8 hours? that long really, did u get hung up? or just tedious? Havent done it before just thinking (take of cover, and supports and then the timing belt should be right there waiting for you.... but then again i could be wrong.

8 hrs is aboutright for normal straight through, 10-12 if you get hung up or taking it easy.

I just had my mechanic do my t-belt job.

Didn't really have time to sit and do it myself. [&:]

Just talked to my mechanic about it today actually. He said about 10 hours worth of work. He told me that with "the everything" It's about $1100, does that sound right to you guys?

It took me 8 because im a diesel mechanic so all my tools are at work so i made a few trips haha. But oddly enough i got stuck on taking off the bumper that was my only hang up. I was being too gentle i figured out soon after haha. but it wasnt a bad job at all, i would do it again .

is there difference in removing the B5 S4 bumper when compared to the B5 A4? I have yet to take of my S's but had the A4 down to a science. I could get that thing of in less than 5 mins.

I've heard a few people comment on how it's tough on the S4. Anyone have experience with both? I would assume they should be the same.
