timing belt options
hey guys.
i know there are tons of threads about changing the timing belt and such. i just purchaces a 02 s4 a few weeks back. and it need it's timing belt changed like yesterday. i've found a web page of which i'm going to buy the kit, and do it myself. my question is; the kit comes with an optional "rental" of specialty tools used to change the timing belt out. anyone who has changed their own timing belt, did you use that kit, or were you able to do it with out it? any info is much appreciated! thanks guys.

If i were you id get the ECS ultimate kit from www.ecstuning.com, its available without the lock bar for $228 and with the bar for $358, they also have a more advanced kit
The cam lock bar is important because if you mess up the timing by even a couple teeth you can **** things up bad. It is possible to do it without the cam lock bar you just have to be very carefull to mark things clearly so you dont put the new belt on with the timing off.
