tires
So I found a slow leak on a couple of my tires and I'm getting a set of 4 tires online.
Just curious, since we have AWD, if i get a flat tire, is it ok to purchase just one tire if, let's say, my tire was 25% into it's life/treadwear?

25% is really pushing it for having one oddball out, also awd doesn't matter. An odd tire will still cause others to wear worse/badly along with itself. It's not even the best thing to have two different on the front than the back. So with that said what kind are you getting... I'm a fan Pirelli myself and run those
So basically, if one goes out, there goes the rest? Gotta buy 4 new tires huh?
I'm getting the Bridgestone Pole Position All-Season from tirerack.com I'd like to get separate tires for the summer and winter, but I'm kinda strapped for cash right now and my garage is kinda full.

I was just reading about tires in the Audi TT section. Looks like I WOULD need change all four. Or the smart thing I guess is to include the spare when I'm rotating tires. Or shave the spare tire if there's a big difference in treadwear.
I had toyo proxies for a while and liked them. Now im kinda pokking around looking at toyo tr1s, Bridgestone potenzas, and some yokahamas. Falkens are also appealing because they are inexpensive and provide good grip, they just wear quickly
