Towing;Trailer hitch
I have a car to tow (65 Barracuda). Anyone have info on what hitch to get, trailer, or if doing so would do harm to my stage 2 6spd S4? I found this http://eurohitch.es/index.php?main_p...products_id=34

Many moons ago i saw an RS4 with a custom removable trailer hitch, i just spent like an hour looking and couldnt find it.
Im trying to convince my dads GF to get rid of her Toyota Tundra and to get an B6 S4 Avant, the only stipulation is it muct be able to tow a horse.... which i have yet to find out if it can do...

I wouldn't do it. You'll definitely be into the boost the entire time.
2000 lbs is max.
The horse may be ok with the b6 though

Not to be condescending but that is a terrible idea. I do a lot of towing with trucks, everything from cigarette boats to 4000lb car trailers to sea-doo's. Towing capacity has to do with suspension just as much as it has to do with horsepower and torque. Actually, at times it has to do more with suspension and weight of the vehicle that is towing. Your transmission would be under a HUGE LOAD, imagine if you could hold your car in place while in full boost. Would something break or fatigue quicker? To give you an example of this, I also have a Sierra Denali, it is a half ton or 1500 rated truck. My truck has a 6.0 liter in it with a supercharger (great for towing) the truck is also AWD. It made 425 ft lbs and 398 AWHP on a mustang dyno. With an almost 29% reduction thats a good amount of power. Now, I have tried towing an array of things. I always find that my truck has a hard time with a 5600 lb trailer. It is the constantly needed downshifts the wear and tear from AWD. The truck weighs 5800 lbs its decently heavy, to tow something safely you need a lot of weight so the trailer won't push you around as well. Thats why the Tundra will always pull better than the Audi station wagon, whether its an RS6 V10 or its an RS4. So I conclude unless you are pulling the smallest U-haul available don't consider pulling anything behind your S.

haha, tell her owning a truck is just piece of mind, owning a B6 avant is ultimate badness. Also to ask a friend for help when something needs to be towed.
