If thats the case, my mistake. I just know that it will make the transmission feel much better when you have more power.

As far as turbo kits, K04 turbos come fromt he Rs4 and are good for about 400whp on pump with a pretty good tune good supporting mods (intercoolers, downpipes, dumps) more or less depending on what you wanna spend, you can put these on with no internal mods to your motor, theyre also probably the cheapest option.

RS6 turbos come from the V8tt RS6 and are bigger than k04's. You can buy them modified to fit with the available K04 inlets and downpipes. With these your looking at about 500whp more or less depending on your setup so you would want to replace your connecting rods at least for relyability. A little more expensive than K04's.

GT turbos are very nice. First off they use ball bearings which is a better technology that will help in spool, performance, and relyability. They also use external wastegates which are a much more accurate than the internal gates in the k03, k04, and rs6 turbos. Power can go as high as your budget allows. the GT2554's are good for a little over 500 and it just goes up from there. There are a few people offering these vast and asp to name a couple. over on audizine generationjdm has been making GT kits which look TOP quality.

As you can see your replacing alot more parts, people are also boring out their block to 3.0L and getting all new coated pistons, forged rods, reinforced crank, new valvetrain, standalone ECU etc. It all comes down to how much you want to spend.

A few people like deb38 and some nameless folks not on forums have built or are building single turbo S4's. Since theres no kit at the moment your up to your own devices. This really is a cool path to go and im sure in the future well see more single turbo S4's.

Sorry for the long post, spool time is obviously faster on a smaller turbo like a k04 but the GT turbos are just all around more capable.

well yeah i have very little money since im still in college and not working full time lol. anyways i would probably wait until my k03's go then get k04's, then probably a borla catback or ss auto chrome or apr, and then eventually i would have to get a new Tc and probably also eventually get a fueling kit. But until then im actually happy with my Giac ecu and stock turbos/ exhaust.
