Default Transmissions?

In my 2001 S4 I have the six speed. About 10 weeks ago now I burned it up. According to my mechanic I might as well dropped a gernade in the casing it would have been about equal to whats wrong with it. So he sent it off to a rebuild and supossedly they are upgrading everything internally, stronger and better. I am also having a short shift installed and a new clutch. The idea is that this will not end my upgrade list So I need to know what you all think about clutches. Should I get a stage 2 or 3 or an RS4 clutch? and what is the difference?

Interesting, Thanks I will keep that in mind. I had a different tranny shop bring up a good point. They said that if everything in the tranny remains stock and you upgrade only the clutch you are just going to burn out the guts of your tranny quicker. But sense everything is better I say upgrade!
