I have seen B5 S4s tuned out very extensively but the choice of exhaust systems confuse me. Why is it that these race tuned S4 keep the single duel exhaust rather than a regular duel exhaust with an exhaust pipes coming form each side. Is there more power generated by the single duel or is it more of an environmentally friendly matter. Im in the market for an exhaust and am tring to decide which route to chose .

 

You will get the same amount of flow from a "single" dual system as a "dual" single system, since there is the same amount ofp ipes, and usually the same size pipes. It takes some extensive work in order to put a dual single system in which includes routing it through your spare tire well (i believe). It is much easier to do the single dual exhaust system, and there are much better companies out there making these exhausts. I personally that the single dual looks sporty and classy, which is why im staying with it.
