Default Turbo upgrade... here it goes

Alright... yes i searched... but since im going to be saving about 200 a month on insurance thanks to allstate and a loop hole thats right $500 comp and collision deductables on my b5 s4 when i have two tickets and im 18 years old... 65 a month, yay more mod money. That and my last college payment is going to be paid in a few days... anyway, i wish to reach 450 whp with my car SOME DAY, but im going to need new turbos soon, so its time for a build, anyone close to north idaho that wants to help? also which turbos would be best for 450 awhp? I was thinking k04-25 but was looking for some other opinions

best bet right now is to wait a few months. There are some interesting setups being made right now. Wait for the euro tuner to come out to see. Have you ever pulled a motor? I am in the middle right now and the s4 is no 350. You also need to set a budget before u do a build.

LOL, get a budget first. You will spend at least $2800 for the turbo's & install parts. Then you need a turbo back exhasut, IC's new injectors, new flash, new MAF, etc...

To get 450whp, on pump gas, you are going to spend a ton of $$ The "Kits" out there for $6-8k only do around 350-375whp.

2k S4: I do have a budget, and right now im just looking at turbos, then everything else will come later but i want to know what turbos can support that kind of power, so when i have to get new ones i know what ones to get, and wont have to worry about getting the wrong ones and not being happy later on down the road.

aLifeQuixotic: The loophole works like this, and yes its okay we were told by a few different insurance companies, im insured on 4 cars, my moms gto, a chevy truck, an impalla and of course the best one, the audi, but since im insured on all of thoes other cars, i get a multiple car discount for one, and for two, they rated me based on the impalla not the audi, so i still have my coverage on the audi, but its rated like i drive the impalla, so its like well 200$ cheaper now.

Big picture, the turbo's are some of the cheapest parts. If you go none K03/K04 based then inlet pipes & headers will be much more $$ then the turbo's.

450whp on pump, is going to be on the very high side of K04's. To get there, you would need a lot, lot of other parts. Most K04 only cars are 300-350whp.

450whp, is going to set you back at least $10k.

You can get prett close to 450, if you get an aftermarket ecu as well. I got mine for $600 from APR, and it alone put the bhp up to 317, plus the other mods i have in it. If you did the same, plus a nice K04 kit, you could be around 475 on 93 octane fuel
