Looks like you used soffit vents. I did the same thing but put one more in the front facing the headlight and i drilled the plastic with a 1/16 drill bit in a few spots. I didnt feel much either. I think the majority of the effects are going to be noticed in the warmer weather.

diesels4: thanks

bottlecap: yeah oem filter, the difference is very slightly, i can deff. hear a diff. think i can feel a diff. may just be me subconcious cuz i just did the mod, but i really do think i can feel it breathing better/faster response

pepsi: dont know what soffit vents are... dont even know what i used im more of a picture person, walked around the store i saw something that i knew i could make work. anyway, so what "plastic" part are you speaking of , you just did what i did and drilled a cuple holes on the side facing the headlight did you cover the holes with anything? im not sure i understand.

These are part of a thread i posted a few months ago.
I just used 2 vents. One i removed the venting from because i was less concerned about hydro-locking in that area (headlight is in the way) And The other one on the bottom i left the vents on facing the flow direction i felt utilized the air best and decreased the chances of hydro-locking again.
I used a 1/16 drill bit to add flow. I know it looks like a lot but i sprayed this box with a garden hose from 2' away. Even with the pressure of the hose, minimal water penetrated.

ya...i just figured it made more sense to place one on the front of the box. most of the cold air your going to see would be flowing around the headlight. I did one on the bottom only because i had an extra vent.
