If u have the 710N they wont be able to pick them

If u got the billet forge 007 or wat eva, they can stick it up u if some thing goes wrong and say the aftermarket DV's f****d u turbos?

In other words use the 710N, save money and alot of maintaince -alot of the stage 3 guys use them 2

danigurl, if you have ANY blow off noise, I would be worried that you will be needing that warranty very soon.

The reason is you have DV's.
DV's are diverter valves, not (BOV) blow off valves. DVs dont make the whoosh sound your think of becuase they are not supposed to let off boost into the atmosphere. The Audi runs a closed system. It needs to retain all the air it eats or it will get confused.

If you do hear a whoosh or hiss sound you should stick your head in your engine bay and find out where it is coming from and stop it. Your car will be fastest when your engine is quietest.

Oh and for your other question.

Yes you got it. If you install the 710Ns you will be set for now and many mods to come.

(but just to be clear you are not going to be really any louder swtiching to 710Ns over stock, just stronger)

Is it a whirring sound?

If it is a whirring sound, that is just your turbos spooling. Thats just fine.

If it is something else you might have to elaborate on the sound and one of the veterans here could probably diagnose it for you.

As for how to get the BOV sound. You should probably just let that sound go and think of another sound to try and capitalize on.

Might I suggest a true twin exhaust system for instance. It can sound mean each time you rev it. (or if you like nitrous instead you could just install a kit on your car get some more hp out of that and then install a purge valve that shoots nitrous out of the hood for show, dont ask me how though becuase I dont use nitrous)

But as for the BOV I would see a couple options.
1. Buy a BOV electric noise maker. I think they actually make a speaker you can put under your hood that makes that BOV sound for you when you want it. (if you do this though I dont know if I will be allowed to talk to you any more, its just so poser)
2. Use compressed air to trigger a real BOV. Take a tank of CO2 or NOS, hook up a BOV to it. Put a remote switch on it in the cabin, trigger it when you want that real BOV sound by fake means. (once again if you do this, you better have some killer track and suspension mods to make up for this sin to your car)

3. Stand alone engine management. This is going to take mucho money and time to do. Plus a considerable amount of space on a dyno and in a tuning shop, unless you are really good at this type of thing and have a stand alone system just waiting in the wings. If you succed at this, you can park right next to me any time, becuase you will likely be pushing out over 500 hp just because that is the number of ponies I think it would take to make considering this finacial endevour of EMS worth while.

So try to let go of the BOV sound and start thinking about what tone you want rumbling when you rev.

danigurl the whoosh u are talking bout is the turbos spooling and the wastegate actuator doing its job - and generally heard when u have very little traffic bout and windows down

BOV's on an Audi are more trouble rather than anything else, the ECU isnt programmed for them

Just get the: OEM Diverter Valve, 225hp Audi TT Version-Priced Each ES#581 from ECS think they are the cheapest place

http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...ategory=Intake

U can get the BOV's but u will find that u car will prob ran a bit rich and bugger u cats
