New here, thinking of getting rid of my Volvo for an S4, as I have had it with that garage queen. How is Audi for reliability? Oil leaks, hard shifting etc?
I want a fast machine. The Volvo never let me down in that department (0-60 in 5.2 secs) but it is costing me in general upkeep etc. I love how the AUDI handles, anything to look for when I purchase an S4, troublespots?

The Audi will cost you as much in upkeep as the Volvo.

 

What year of S4 are you looking at? I'm sure the B6 is a reliable car.

 

The S60R is a bad-*** car. But you're in an Audi forum. Of course we're going to be partial to the S4's. Both are awesome choices. But David9999 is right; the Audi will cost a lot to keep up too. But what year S4? B5's are roughly 5.8 (0-60) and B6's are like 4.8. If you're under warranty, who cares? If you didn't know already it's a 4 yr/50k mile warranty. And you can't beat Audi's AWD. Good luck!

 

heh the s60R is AWD too....one thing is for sure...volvo is where its at for safety...Its a 300 hp airbag.

 

dude keep ur volvo. i think that car is so much more sexier than a s4

 

I don't understand the S60R's though. Some of them look good and some look like ***. You would think they were all the same for the price. They are not cheap...

one thing to remeber when you are talking about tracking the cars.... the volvo is far for balanced than the V8 S4's. The B5 S4 was such a badass car, especially when you start modding it. The V8 S4 is far too nose heavy for turning at high speeds and when you brake, the nose dives down like crazy.
