I work in the municipal complex of my local town as a computer tech. I know all the cops, and dispatchers as a plus. There has been an absolute storm of auto thefts in the Willowbrook mall in New Jersey (Wayne - Northern NJ), in fact there has been a total of 33 thefts this month, 8 of which were B5's; 3 A4's and 2S4's were stolen in the past week; there was an attempt on a 97 A4, and a successful theft of a 2001 S4 this weekend. Do yourself a favor, and don't take the B5 to the mall.

And A little PSA....

If you dont know yet listen the **** up: more S4's are stolen in NJ than anywhere else in the world. They are a specifically targeted car by car theives and are easy as hell to steal. Most end up getting taken for a joy ride then are chopped apart somewhere in Newark. On audizine and audiworld there are dozens of people in the NJ area who have permanently lost their cars.

If you live in the NJ area you WILL need to take action to keep your car safe, you WILL need to keep your mouth shut about it (car theives read here too), or you WILL get your car stolen.

Seriously guys protect your cars! We dont have immobilizers. Get a kill program, a kill switch, an aftermarket alarm, take out te ECU, do somehting!

 

Oh yeah watch out those damn Bostonians like to steal headlights!

Can you imagine jamming a pry bar into the fender and hood of a nogaro S4? It happened to my friends car and alot more

 

anyone know of a remote start alarm that works with the factory keyless, or one that could replace the factory keyless? I want remote start and an alarm but I don't know what brand to buy and not many people are familiar with the audi factory "alarm"
