Anyone have any recommendations.

 

Tons of them out there they all offer similar HP gains and all sound much better than stock. There are some really good Milltek options, both DP's and exhaust system, a bit expensive though $1995 and $1195 respectively on http://www.stratmosphere.com/milltek_s4_exhaust_b6.htm
Also people are running neuspeed, borla, and magnaflow setups as well. The only one I would steer away from is the supersprint system.

 

You have got to tell me why no Supersprint..it's what I have installed and I love it~!

black rus I would tell you to get the supersprint if you can, its more pricey than other ones i have seen which may be why theres deference for other choices..but let me tell you..
I haven't seen equaled craftsmanship yet on any other ones as far as the way its constructed..

The sound is perfect! Absolutely right on I think for the way the B6 S4 body looks. (SUPERSPRINT)

The customer right before me had milltek said it was too loud and got a supersprint

My friend has a milltek, and another friend has a milltek without the resonators, all for the B6 s4
granted they enjoy their exhausts very much...
but it doesnt fit the way the car looks, it just doesnt I dont think.. its very loud, and the one without the resonators..it just seems a little off when you hear the noise this thing makes and then look at this very refined body style...
bystanders have agreeed with me as we watch my friend drive around his car... its like .. HUH? you hear all this-really good sounding V8 power...but really the car just looks so out of place with it in my opinion, ...but I dont want to upset other owners...I think most run something beside supersprint.. and the most horse gains and torque gains you can get are from the milltek full set up..unless I dunno MOtodyne claims it has something greater but I dunoo Ive never seen it..

Regardless let me tell you:
you see the Supersprint is not meant to be overly obtrusive..initially when i got the thing installed I was a bit dissapointed, because it really sounded almost identical to stock.... except on revving it, then you could hear this interesting euro tuney growl..

But then I broke it in! By driving up the crest a few times with much inspiration.. and the exhaust begins to get louder...
Now it is perfect my friend..Its not that Loud, but loud enough that bystanders say its pretty loud as i go by, very noticeable- good sound, i should post some clip of it somehow
It has a very refined almost grainy tuned growlly skinny v8 like sound.. if youve heard supersprint on an m5 there are similarities...
BOttom line , I think it fits the car so well... the car looks like it should be making a noise like this, some tight ultra tuned V8 sound with euro flair... not mimicking a big v8 from the 60's, and my friends exhausts are absurdly loud!!!

I'm interested in the Supersprint exhaust for my '04, mostly for the build quality and sound as described. How did you purchase your system (direct from dealer or installer)? Is it a simple bolt-on system?
