well, the firstthreemods i would suggest- short throw shifter , snub mounts and stasis center diff are no good since your ride has tip. you could put in improved snub mounts (apr goes for $100 for the pair) and you should feel less "jerk" between shifts. so, i would suggest your first be sway bars (approx $500 for both) then chip, giac has new software out for the 05.5 & 06, i'm sure the 07 is soon to come. about $550 for 93 octane and stock and it will improve throttle response around 7 hondos if you get more modes and the hand held box. unless you track, save your money for suspension until your stock goes bad. yes, you feel body roll, but it should be expected at the speeds you can take corners at. same with exhaust. spending 1500+ for a nice sound and 10-15 hp doesn't make sense (unless you make the big bucks, then why not buy all you can?). wait till the exhaust goes, then upgrade, the stock sound is sleeper at low rpms, but turns heads when you head north of 5k. don't know what your experience with audi is, but this car is not a quater mile killer! don't waste your time trying to make it so. let the ricers have light to light.this car is perfect for 1. cruising.at 120 mph (i do this daily on the autobahn, it feels like 80 the ride is so smooth), you don't even hear wind noise until around 75 and thats with the stereo low or off. very nice long distance vehicle. and 2. quattro grips the road. HIT THOSE COSTAL ROADS! Cali has some of the most scenic roads with some fun *** curves, this is where this car shines.

The new S4 does, in fact, have a Quatro emblem on the front. I went out and double checked, because I could have sworn mine had quatro on it.

I would prefer the S4 emblem though.

hey cheese, i really dont know much about chips and its software, so could explain what does it exactly do?? I know it can raise hp, but how long does that usually take to install?? and 93 octane? the gas i get around here is 91, i dont know any place that has 93 octane

Where are you from? Some states only have 91, like Cali, if I remember correctly. Mobile and Sunoco stations should have the 93 octane, if you have any of those in your area.

Tunes simply change up your air/fuel ratio and adjust your timing. Back in "in the day", it was similar to manually adjusting the carbs to pump more/less fuel and using the distributer to advance timing. Now all of that is electronically controlled and you have to use the ECM to adjust them.

As for the time, if it's a "tune in a box", in other words, if the controller already has a tune preset for your vehicle, it would take as long as it would to boot a computer and down load a small file. If you are tuning from scratch andusing a dyno, that's a much longer process.

this is a very intresting post you guys have going here.... mofsteel seems to think very strongly that layzjayz doesn't have what he says he does...so what the heck is really goin' on here?

i am not calling you a liar in anyway lazyjayz but do you have a way of proving you own this car... so we can either give mofsteel credit for his detective skills or tell him to shut up and leave you alone.... thanks

Woow you really need to learn how to read buddy, you never wrote that you saw the links UNTIL you saw my post. And then u went to edit your post 10 min later... (oops did i say 10 minutes? I meant 1 HOUR) again LEARN to READ.

And... I don't own an Audi? LEARN to USE that brain of yours buddy. The car's new which means, I don't get the plates till later. If I just took pictures of the car, dont you think it would be taken in a nice building?? Instead ALL my pictures are taken OUTSIDE my house.

Soo what have we all learned today?

1. I do own an Audi S4 that is based of the 2006 Limited Edition one.
2. Sometimes Learning to READ Learn and using that brain of yours can make you look less like an idiot. You were given a brain so use it ya ding dong.
3. Don't try to accuse someone of something when you have all you facts wrong.

Now that I've just taken your excuse/pitiful argument apart, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could:
1. Shut up and leave me alone
2. Go back to school and learn to use that brain of yours.
3. Leave my post alone unless you have something PRODUCTIVE and USEFUL to say for this forum.

Sorry if I hurt any of your feelings/ego while i was bashing your pathetic argument apart, but I highly felt it was necessary to drill some common sense in you [sm=owned.gif][sm=loser.gif]
