what kind of oil you guys use in the s4 obviously synthetic would be the choice my question is more towards weight
I always use mobil 1 if possible

I use Mobile1 0w-40, and its great. Once the weather gets a bit nicer im gonna do another oil change with the same weight. (im a 2001.5 B5)

 

the dealer suggest 5w-30 in winter and during hot summers 10w-30. What type of syn u use is up to u........I perfer royal purple, my friend uses amsoil in his s4 and he is a vw tech. but then u r looking at over $70 oil change. LOL..........My other friend has a STI and his MECH. told him not to use syn oil. But he also told him he doens't have to let the car idle after hard runs to let the oil cool down.........I think he needs a new MECH.

 

Mobil1 or even AGIP if you can find it.

 

Royal Purple. In my VR6 Turbo GTI I actually saw a slight reduction in oil temps in the summer.
