What size rims for 2001.5 S4?
I wanted to get rims, what is the best size of rims for this model (2001.5 B5 S4)? What is the best width as well? I was thinking something among the lines of 18" and either 8.5 or 9.5. Thanks for your help!

It all depends on what you are looking for in a wheel. If you want performance, and better handling, ride feel etc. go with an 18 inch wheel. In many cases people also think 18's look better on the b5 (personal opinions). If you want looks (depends on what you think looks good), go wiht 19's. With 19's you wont be able to give as much of a drop, and there may be some rubbing issue, it all depends on the wheel. 9.5 will not fit on our cars unles they are custom made and have a custom ofset. 8.5 will worth though. For hte offset- it depends on the wheel. Almost all aftermarket wheels will not fit with the same offset as the factory. I personally am going custom, and have not yet been told what hte offset was for my wheels (they are in the process of being made). Whoever you get your wheels from, make sure that they have been used previously on our car (unless they are custom forged). Oh yea, and our bolt pattern is 5x112.
what do you want to use them for? Track, street, show? where do u live? 9.5 wont fit and 8.5 just fit. If you plan on tracking or if u live in pothole city i would get a set of 17's. If you want street and show go 18's. I have 18's in MI and have to watch out for pot holes with 40 sidewalls. I would try to find wheels that you like that are 8" wide. I would not go any bigger than 235/40/18 if you go 18's and 235/40/17 if you go 17's. As stated above offset is a major problem. Stock offset is 42et iirc. Mine are 18x8.5 35et and just clear.
