I am thinking of buy an S4. What year of the B5 S4 is the best?

 

Basically depends. If you are planning on modding at all, they are all gonna be the same, because with the mods you will do they will supersede the upgrades bbetween the 2000 M.Y. and the 01/01.5/02. If you arent, 2001.5/2002 will be the best due to the reenforcement they did to soem of hte engine internals. Only thing you wouldnt be able to get/fix is esp which was not available for the 2000 M.Y.

 

I want to try to make it the fastest it can go, with still being able to drive on the street

2004 S4 with the 340 hp V8. Then put a pair of K04 turbos on it for 420+ hp.

cant fit k04s, or 2 of anything in that engine bay. Some companies are working on supercharger kits for it, and im not sure but one or 2 may have come out for it recently (havent been keeping up with the b6 tech recently) but theres no way you can fit 2 turbos in there. One supercharger is tough enough...

 

anything can be done...never say never. ive seen a 68 beetle with a 454 big block in it. driver had a sparco in the rear seat location, steering column was where old driver seat location was. but ill stop talking about big blocks cuz not everyone here is diverse like that, audi tuners almost never even know a thing about carbueration. why would they?

 

Im jsut saying it would be VERY hard, i mean the tuners have been working quite a while on a isngle supercharger kit for that engine (wich chould be sufficient for oyur needs) but i suppose with enough money and time it is possible, jsut if you want an easy, pre-produced solution it will be single

 

i think its the 2000's, but anyway they have the A-box ecu, makes more power and responds to chips better. could be an '01 but im pretty sure its 2000
