would like some opinions, on wheels. i have a '05 A6, new to the German ride, etc. the car came w/ 16" stock wheels rims. should i go for 17"'s or would i sacrifice a lot by going to 18's, and if i choose 18's would it matter much if i tried to soften the ride just a bit by using 45 aspect tyres?

I see too many beaners with those and they just dont look like they fit the attitude of the S4.

Could you give an example of what type of wheel you're looking for npb33 other than BBS?

 

He wants sports mesh.... its a big trend for rims right now... atleats in my area... that exact rim on the S4 i see on alot of cars more than just the euros at home.....
I dont mind them they are just too common.. You should look into other rim ideas.... for the right $$$ any rim can be made for you dont forget. that even if they dont make the off set

 

Yea Im looking to buy some RC's or CH's (mesh rim) because I like the style of them. My rims have some curb rash on them, and I will need new tires in about 5K miles anyways, so Im looking for some nice mesh rims, or some nice 5 Spoke from Enkei, OZ, Ronal, or some others. Im not TOO picky, but I do like BBS and they are hard to find used in the 112X5 bolt pattern.

 

Yea because the real ones are expensive and everyone wants 2nd hand cheap ones that are still in good condition.
Look at PIAA - Sport Mesh, good rim good quality and its the mesh style like BBS and its much cheaper.
