Wheels question....please help
I've found some wheels that I'd like to get, but was wondering about sizing. I think I'll stick with 18's but would like to know how wide I can go while still fitting comfortably within the stock wheel wells. I want a wider stance (look) from the rear. I believe the stock Avus wheels are 18X8. Any feedback will be highly apprecited.
no, 9 can be done at stock height, and 9 can be done when dropped if u roll the fenders. A good amount of people run 9's in the rear, front is a lot tougher to fit it, but it can be done. Some people have fit 9.5 in the rear, but for that you need to have the perfect offset and tire size, which is tough to do. 8 or 8.5 are by far hte most common widths though.
Sorry if my post was vauge. when i said 9's wouldnt fit i meant that they wouldnt fit without modifying, "rolling" the fenders or using a different offset than stock. My bad
Edit: My bad
Edit: My bad
I run 19" with 235/35s 8.5 width. Normally fine - though after I had some fairly minor body work I find I'm rubbing at the right front more often then i would like. Its mostly OK - but a bit irritating with certain road bumps/undulations and when cornering left really hard (sometimes). The damage to my wheels with the thin rubber is more of a concern - I'm constantly bending my whells - though with the RS4 replicas I'm running its a bit better then when i ran with Superleggeras...a very light but very fragile wheel....
