Looking for a set of 17x8J avus wheels for my '02 S6 Avant and I've come across a few hurdles/questions

As you would expect it's very tough to find these wheels;

Is there a resource someone can point me to that will assist me in figuring out what other Audi factory wheels will fit on my car? Will any of the wheels from the new body style A6's fit my car? The 18x8J avus wheels off the S8 are, of course, easy to find but will I regret going up a size (I live in New England and spend much of my driving time avoiding potholes as it is)? I'm interested in another set of factory wheels as I've had bad experiences with aftermarket wheels in the past as many are too soft.
