Quote: Never understood this debate.... Similar companies, similar cars, same customer demographic. Its nice to have choices...

I like both, but i wont be in an Audi thats not an S/RS and i wont be in a BMW thats not an M
exactly! unless i buy an a3 as a daily driver

and as far as hating goes, hey if its a nice car i can respect it openly and hate on it secretly haha.

Quote: Some people are idiots. BMW 650? Its their $72,000 car vs our $50,000 S4 and they still lose in perfomance. 0-60 BMW = 5.6sec, S4 = 5.3. 1/4 mile BMW = 13.8 @ 103.2, Audi S4 13.8 @ 100.1. So what do you get for your extra $22 large? An overpriced sled that looks like a dead fish. The Audi is better handling too.

When you're talking M cars, you're talking to the RS folks. BMW loses on that front too.

Don't get me wrong, I like beamers to an extent but once you start talking trash you better be aware of the facts.
Haha don't know why I'm saying this but... M6 and R8, so close to pricing, just depends on options, I'm faster. I would sell the M in an instant if they'd put a bigger engine in the under powered R8...well maybe not an instant.. but still.

I would've killed to have that option. Its annoying every now and then not being able to control the speed you downshift...ie...letting out the clutch more slowly sometimes than others. Not including the settings in the computer that adjust the aggressiveness of shifts cause that is barely noticable.

Anyone here ever drive a paddle shifter?

I hate how everyone compares the S4 to M3... in almost every test the M3 wins. The M3 and RS4 are competitors, similar specs and a lot better of a comparison; top gear ended up chosing the rs4 over the M3...

Touche guys. I got a guy I work with that talks so much trash about my S4 when he drives a 320i and is slower than dog poop. He keeps talking about wanting an M3 or whatever but can't weigh out the fact that he has poor taste and has that baller mentality. What a ***. No offense to you guys with bimmer's. I feel the same way about the whole S series/ M series cars. I will always be performance bound no matter what car I buy. Don't you guys think it's just embedded in our genes?
