Default would like some help with new exhaust

I would like some help as far as sound and performance. I would like it to not sound like a fart can or poopie pipe type set up but more of a nice subtle and deep tone that you almost dont know where it is coming from and at the same time when you want it to be heard it will be heard. I hope i dont get flamed for this. I have looked and looked and listened to videos but need some good honest words from owners to describe the sound if possible. Thank you very much

You can usually find good clips on the tube. Click the link.

Oh and I don't know of your tastes, but my car got louder just by doing piggie pipes.

I don't think I'd want it much louder than it is.

I don't mind the noise outside, I just wouldn't want that horrible interior drone you get with some exhaust systems.

I do like the sound of the milltek though.

It all depends on what you like...a lot of people like it quiter since its an audi, but I like it to be heard. Why should I let all the M3s have fun with their awesome exhaust . Youtube has everything you'd like from people modding their stock exhaust to people puttin straight pipes on.

I have borla on stock downpipes and iv always liked the way it sounds. Usually its pretty reasonable untill you stomp on it then it howls. With piggies im sure it would sound even better.

Im going to get ASP 3" Downpipes and a Twin 1. That should make some serious noise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45r4d...eature=related

ASP is a great exhaust. ive got their cat back and plan on their DP's its a nice subtle rum when your cruising at 2k and then it gets nasty when you punch it up to about 4200. i like to call it a deeper lower reving ferrari type sound haha. but in all seriousness what good is us telling you this, when you can hear it all on the tube?

the problem with youtube tho is the sound quality is sometimes off and you never can really tell how truly loud it is. im looking into getting a borla cat back but im scared of getting the loud interior noise. every car i've own has had an exhaust on it and im tired of the interior noise so im hoping the borla isnt to loud

It's true that sound quality can vary but it's usually better than just going on a whim.
