Default 2006 S4 Bluetooth / music

I got this car a couple months ago without an owner's manual. I have since gotten one. It appears that I can use the built in bluetooth for phone calls but not music. Is that correct?

If I cannot use it, I am interested in removing the CD player and putting in the ipod module. Can I just attach a cable from that to my iPhone to play music?

But then does the hands free on my phone still work?

So complicated!

Thanks in advance-

J

My brothers B8 (2011) won't even stream music via bluetooth. Iirc the only ones that do are the most recent models, 2013.

Do you have a disc changer that you are replacing? Or the whole headunit? If you do the whole unit you may lose the original BT functionality so be sure to make sure the new headunit has BT as well.

You should be good to go.

Just noticed you are in CO. Check out the Rocky Mountain section on Audizine. Lots of helpful members and lots of events coming up this season. The local section here is pretty dead.
