Default Got a new S4 yesterday

Went over to the dealer just to look at a 2014 S4, and we worked out a deal I couldnt walk away from.

Sad to see my old G8 go away, but this is an amazing replacement.

Yeah coming from a big V8, changing to the supercharged 6 is a change. But maybe with the V6 will be able to get to 20mpg, lol

Hey, at least they kept the V8 in the S5 until 2012. 354 HP too.

So I looked into the later model S4. I have already thought about that sad day when I have to decide if I will keep my V8 going or climb into a newer S4. I looked at the specs of the new models. I always assumed the V6 was a turbo, was delighted to find out that it is supercharged, putting out nearly as much power as the V8 at 333 horsepower. Also discovered that the engine is dialed back and with some increase in psi it can safely put out up to 388hp. What do you think of this engine and how does the car feel as a whole? Miss the V8 or does this engine put a whole new smile on your face?

Since I don't have a lot of miles on the car so far, its hard to compare a lot. But I had modded the G8 a bit, with a good tune and a few bolt ons. So it was an absolute beast off the line and the exhaust had that great American muscle rumble that Im sure I will always miss.

So far the S4 seems like it will be a blast around any twisties and wont be the twitchy car the G8 was in the cold weather. But a lot is still tbd on what I like and don't like about this car.

As for mods. Im sure I will get around to an exhaust and intake in the spring (don't do much work on my car during the winter) As for tunes to play with the psi I will only do it if they are "ghost" tunes and cant be seen by Audi. I don't like messing with the warranty. One thing I have seen in my little bit of looking around, there is quite definitely an audi tax compared to the prices of things for the G8.
